Democratic Presidential nominee Joe Biden has been staying away from interviews recently, but he decided to sit down for one interview before the Democratic National Convention - with Cardi B. Belcalis Marlenis Almánzar, also known as Cardi B, is a rapper & former exotic dancer with no journalism degree, who sat down with Joe Biden for the fashion magazine Elle the day before Day 1 of the Democratic National Convention. Biden asked the 27 year old musician what her "main interest" with the 2020 election was. She responded, "I have a whole list of things that I want our next president to do for us. But first, I just want Trump out." She also said that she wants info from the country's leader on how to prevent spreading COVID-19, and descriptions that are more accurate regarding the current pandemic. Cardi B mentioned her support for Medicare for All multiple times during the interview. According to an article written about The Guardian, "Biden did not respond to three references to the policy, which he has stopped short of supporting but which has gained prominence in the progressive wing of the Democratic party, particularly through Bernie Sanders’ campaigns for the presidential nomination."
